Single Crochet







The most widely used stitch used in crocheting is the single stitch. However it is one of the simplest stitches. *Insert your hook in a chain, yo, and draw through a look (1), yo, draw through the two loops that you now have on your hook (2):*

Repeat on all the chains of your starting chain (3) and you will have finished another row.

The arrow in the pictures shows the direction of the hook to draw your loop. On subsequent rows, you will work the stitch on another stitches, for example, you will have to insert the hook in the next stitch of previous row, and repeat the operations included between the asterisks (* and *):
