Prayer For A Friend
Dear Lord, my friend is hurting
I know You see his pain.
I know You know his heartache,
And I don't mean to complain;
But Father, give him something
To ease his pain today.
And Father, reassure him
That near him, You will stay.
Show him that You love him,
And that others love him too.
Help him learn, dear Father,
To depend and trust in You.
Teach him, Lord, how to forgive;
And teach him to survive.
Remind him, Lord, how deep Your love;
'Twas for him, dear Lord, You died.
Let him see how precious his soul;
Show him how much You care,
For Father, he truly is special
For him, You will always be there.
There's one more thing I'm asking
Today, Lord, for my friend,
Give him peace within his heart,
And heaven in the end.
