1 qt. milk
5 eggs, separated (use whites for topping)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
Pinch of salt
Flavoring

Mix sugar and flour, add to milk and slightly beaten egg yolks. Cook until the consistency of thick cream. Add flavoring. Fill baked pie shell and frost. (Use 1/2 recipe for 1 pie).

Butterscotch Cream Pie: Use brown sugar instead of white.

Coconut Cream Pie: Add 1/2 cup coconut to filling.

Pineapple Cream Pie: Add 1/2 cup crushed pineapple to filling.

Chocolate Cream Pie: Add 2 squares of melted chocolate to filling plus 1/2 cup sugar.

Raisin Cream Pie: Add to filling, 1 cup raisins and 2 tbsp. lemon juice.

Date Cream Pie: Add 1 cup dates--cut up.

Banana Cream Pie: Slice 2 bananas over crust, add filling.

Peach Cream Pie: Same as banana except use peaches.
