"Day's Gone Bye"

Once there was a little girl who sucked her thumb
"Let's call her "Jackie". She sucked her thumb from
the time she was born till she started school.
Everything was tried to stop her, but nothing helped.
Her thumb began to look like a balloon.
Jackie started picking up her daddy's dirty socks and
putting one under her arm, squeezed her arm tight next
to her body, and put her thumb in her mouth. She did
this for a long time.
When Jackie had to start to school in September,
her mother had to do something about the little
girls problem. After reading a article in a magazine,
and the paper, she finally came up with a idea.
About a week before school started a old dress came
out of the closet and a card board ring from a paper
towel was sewed on Jackie's sleeve. She had to wear
that dress all day and all night for whole week. She had
to play in it, bath in it, and sleep in it.
Jackie found out she couldn't bend her arm. She had
a sore arm at the wrist and upper arm, when she bent her hand,
but after the week was up she now longer sucked her thumb
The dress with the ragged cardboard ring was finally
thrown away.
Thanks to Jackie's mother she didn't have to start
school with her thumb in her mouth.
I hope this little story helps other mothers with
this problem.
Good Luck
