The Little Boy's Dream

This story is about a little boy waiting for his father to take him to the circus. While he is waiting, his mother is telling him a story out of his little red book. The little boy listened with eyes almost closed. His head bobbed to one side then the other, while he fought to-stay awake.

Finally his head lay on the pillow, and he was fast asleep. Dreaming that bright lights, and funny clowns danced around him, the boy watched all three funny attractions going on around him. He laughed at the monkeys, clown's, elephants, and all the riders on their fancy horses. The costumes were in all the bright colors of the rainbows that he saw in his picture book. As he dreamed on, the big top seemed to rise up and the pretty lights seem to rise with it. The music played while the animals danced to the beat.

Finally his mother shook him and said his father was ready to take him to the circus. The little boy jumped out of bed and ran to the window. The parade was coming down the street. The music he heard in his dream was real, the clowns were real, and all the pretty costumes were just as he dreamed them to be. Running to the door, he grabbed his fathers hand, and ran out the door. That night he thanked God he had such a wonderful mother and father, and thanked him for all the things he had that some little boys didn't have.
