You will need the following for this tutorial:
I used PSP9 version, but I am sure it could be used in other versions.
Plugins used: Funhouse/Quantum Tile


Choose a graphic you would like to use. Duplicate it twice and then close the original. Choose a light and dark color from your graphic for the foreground and background on your materials palette. Got to your materials palette and find the foregound/background gradient and use these settings.



1. Now let's get busy. Activate your graphic. Image/Add Borders 5 pixels symetric. Using your magic wand select the new border. With your flood fill tool, fill the selected area with the gradient. Effects/Innerbevel


2. Image/Add Border 25 symetric. With magic wand select the new border. On your materials palette, find the second copy of your graphic and make it your foreground.

3. Using the flood fill tool, flood fill the selected area with the foreground graphic. Do not deselect.

4. Effects/Plugins/Funhouse/Quantum Tile with these settings. Click OK

5. Effects/Inner Bevel using the same settings as before. Deselect

6. Image/Add Borders 7 symetric. Using the magic wand, select the new border. Flood fill with the gradient. Effects/Inner Bevel using the same settings as before. Deselect.

7. Image/Add Borders 2 symetric. Using the magic wand, select the new border. Flood fill using the dark color from your graphic. Deselect.

8. Image/Add Borders 7 symetric. Using the magic wand, select the new border. Flood fill with the gradient. Effects/Inner Bevel using the same settings as before. Deselect.

9. Repeat steps 2 - 8.

10. Using the selection tool select a small rectangle of your graphic you wish to highlight. copy/Paste it as a new image.

11. Image/Add Borders 5 pixels symetric. Using your magic wand select the new border. With your flood fill tool, fill the selected area with the gradient. Effects/Innerbevel using the same settings.

12. Copy/Paste this image onto your graphic as a new layer and place in the upper left corner as shown on finished graphic. Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings below.



13. Now, back to the smaller graphic, click on the graphic to activate it and Image/Resize 75%. Copy/Paste this graphic as a new layer and place on top of first small graphic in upper left corner as shown on finished graphic.

14. Effects/dropshadow using the same settings as before.

15. Layers/Merge All - Flatten. Resize to suit. Don't forget to sharpen when finished.
