Eye Candy 3 My Supplies which include the graphic I used, the lace and Red Lava patterns. I have also included the tube I used in case you would like to use it.
Choose a graphic (or you may use this one) making sure the width is no more than 400 pixels.
Make your background color a color not in your graphic I used #00FFFF. Foreground color = #862115
In the foreground pattern select the Red Lava pattern
Duplicate image and close original.
Promote image to Rastor layer
Add a new layer and send to bottom
Highlight copy of layer one and select all. Selections/Modify/Feather 50 Invert Hit your delete key 2 or 3 times (or more depending on how big you want your fading, just play with it till you get what you want.) Deselect
Highlight layer one to select it. Select a color from your graphic. I used #862115 Floodfill layer 1 with this color.
Layers/Merge visable.
Image/Add Borders= 8 Symmetric checked Select new border with magic want, Tollerance=0 Floodfill with same color you filled bottom layer with. Effects/3-D Effects/Inner Bevel Use the Round preset with the default settings. Deselect
Image/Add Borders= 30 Symmetric checked
Promote background layer to Raster Layer.
Layers/Duplicate With magic wand select the new border Selections/Invert Edit/Clear Deselect
Using your selection tool select a area about 1/4 the width of your graphic.
Floodfill with the lava pattern. Deselect
Layer/Duplicate Image/Mirror
Make sure you have the copy (2) (Top) layer highlighted, with magic wand select the aqua area and hit your delete key. Deselect
Close Layer one and merge visable. Duplicate the merged layer Image/Rotate - 90 degrees left
Make sure layer one is still closed and merge visable.
Select the four aqua colored areas and Selections/Invert
Effects/3 D Effects/Inner Bevel using the following settings.
Selections/Invert Floodfill with the lace pattern. Do a Inner Bevel using the same settings as before.
Using your magic wand, select the transparant sections, then the aqua areas also so that everything is selected except the Red Lava area. Selections/Invert. Effects/Eye Candy 3/Drop Shadow using these settings. Then deselect.
Add any tubes you would like then merge all/flatten and save as a jpg.
