In The Wild Frame





Your will need the following for this tutorial:

My zip file with the picture, corner tube and owl tube.
Eye Candy 3

I did this tutorial in PSP8, however I'm sure it can be done in PSP7 or PSP9.

Open the graphic and duplicate it. Close the original. Promote to background layer and then duplicate the layer. Close off the top layer (duplicate copy). Highlight Raster Layer 1 to activate it. Selections/Select All. Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur set at 5.00.

Effects/Textures/Mosaic - Antique using these settings.



Selections/Modify Contract 30.

Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 3/Drop Shadow using the following settings.



Repeat Drop Shadow changing the direction to 125.

Deselect.

Highlight the "Copy of Raster 1" on Layer pallet. Using the selection tool set set to Elipse draw a clipse in the center of the picture. Select a large portion of the picture as it will be resized smaller to fit better later. However make sure you do not go over the borders.

Selections/Invert. Edit/Clear. Do NOT deselect.

Layers/Add Raster Layer.

Flood fill with gold foil. Selections/Invert. Selections/Modify/Expand 5. Selections/Invert. Edit/Clear.

Deselect.

With magic wand with the following settings.



Select the gold border. Plugins/Blade Pro/ShinyGold preset.

Plugins/Eye Candy 3/Drop Shadow with same setting - Direction 315.

Deselect.

Close Raster Layer 1. Merge Visable.

Image/Resize = 85% (Make sure that "Resize all layers" is unchecked.)

Open Raster Layer 1 and merge visable.

Image/Add Border of 25. Select new border with magic wand. Tolerance set to 0.

Flood fill with Trudie Gold. Angle = 0 Scale = 100

Effects/Art Media Effets/Brush Strokes with the following settings.



Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds with following settings.



Selections/Invert. Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 3/Drop Shadow using same settings with directions at 125 and again with directions set at 315.

Deselect.

Image/Add Border = 5 pixels. With magic wand select new border. Flood fill with Gold Foil. Effects/InnerBevel using the following settings.



Deselect.

Repeat the last border two more times using the same inner bevel.

Open the ccd-corners32 tube. Copy/paste as a new layer. Resize by 50% making sure that "Resize all layers" is unchecked.

Using mover tool, move frame to corner as shown.

Effects/3-D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings.



Deselect.

This is what your frame should look like.



Effects/Plugins/Simple/Top Left Mirror. This will put the frame in all four corners.

Layers/Merge All - Flatten

Resize to suit. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.
