You will need the following for this tutorial: I made this using PSP 8 but I'm sure it could be made in other versions. Unplugged Tools/Wavemaker vm toolbox/liftcover Graphic and tubes of your choice or Here are the one I used. I have included the gold gradient for those that do not already have one. Open your graphic in psp and duplicate it. Close the original. Select a light and dark color from you graphic and put in your foreground and background on materials pallet. I used DDB582 for foreground and 383F64 for background. On the background bring up the gradient formed by your two colors. Foreground/Background gradient. " Add 5 pixel border with a color not in your graphic, then select with magic wand. Flood fill background color. Selections/invert. Plugins/VM Toolbox/lift the cover using these settings. Invert. Effects/innerbevel with these settings. Deselect. Image/add borders/25 pixels white with a color not in your graphic, then select with magic wand. Floodfill the new border with the foreground/background gradient. Deselect. Add a 5 pixel border. with a color not in your graphic, then select with magic wand. Flood fill with foreground color. Effects/drop shadow Vertical and horizontal 1, Opacity=80, Blur=0, color=black. Repeat Drop shadow with -1 for vertical and horizontal. Deselect. Add a 5 pixel border. with a color not in your graphic, then select with magic wand. Flood fill with background color. Repeat the drop shadow as above. Deselect. Add a 5 pixel border. with a color not in your graphic, then select with magic wand. Flood fill with foreground color. Repeat the drop shadow as above. Deselect. Selections/Select all. Selections/modify/contract 40 pixels. On materials pallet, duplicate layer. convert to raster layer. Selections/invert Image/canvas size. Add 40 pixels to height and width of your image. Make sure the center button is checked. Effects/Unplugged Tools/Wavemaker Use default settings or any settings you like. Play with them for fun results. Effects/3d effects/innerbevel with these settings. Deselect. Layers/Merge Visable. With magic wand select transparant border. Flood fill with foreground color. Selections/invert. Selections/modify/expand-5 pixels. Invert and hit delete key. Deselect. With magic wand select the new border. Effects/3d effects/innerbevel using the same settings. Deselect. With magic wand select transparant border. Flood fill with gold gradient. Selections/invert. Selections/expand 5 pixels. Selections/invert. Hit delete key. Do no deselect. Floodfill with background color. Effects/3d effects/inner bevel using same settings. Effects/3d effects/drop shadow using the same settings as before. Repeat drop shadow using the -1 for vertical and horizontal. Deselect. Layers/Add new raster layer. Add your name/greeting to the white part of the graphic. If you wish to add any tubes, add them on a separate layer so you can move them around. When you are happy with your graphic, go to layers/merge all/flatten and save as a jpg. Your Done!!!
